DermClick is a US healthcare service operating under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) for protected health information. Your medical history, your assessment answers, your photos, and your prescription details are protected health information held by Quick Western Medical, P.C. (the professional medical entity that employs the prescribing dermatologists). They are stored on encrypted infrastructure, accessed only by clinical and operational staff with a need to know, and not sold to third-party advertisers.
Your photos are used for clinical review by your prescribing dermatologist and for ongoing case follow-up. They are not used for marketing without your explicit, separate consent — for example, before-and-after photos used in promotional content require a separate signed media release.
