Often, yes — but not always, and a board-certified dermatologist on our medical team will tell you honestly which side of the line your case falls on.
Patients with sensitive skin who do well on DermClick formulas typically have:
- A baseline of intact barrier function (no active eczema flare, no compromised skin from over-exfoliation, no untreated rosacea flaring at the time of prescription).
- A clear concern that prescription topicals address (acne, mild rosacea, melasma, anti-aging concerns, hair reduction, and post-acne red marks (P.I.E.)) and a willingness to start on a lower-strength formula and ramp gradually.
- Tolerance for a structured introduction protocol, typically two or three nights per week for the first weeks, with strong barrier support.
Patients for whom DermClick may not be the right starting point include: those with active untreated eczema, severe contact dermatitis, deeply compromised skin barrier from prior overuse of actives, or skin that reacts to most topical products. In those cases, the dermatologist on your case may recommend a barrier-restoration period first, refer for in-person care, or design an unusually gentle starter protocol with strict monitoring.
Tell the dermatologist on your case in your assessment if your skin reacts to most products, if you have a history of eczema or atopic dermatitis, or if you are recovering from over-exfoliation. The formula is designed around what your skin can actually tolerate, not what would theoretically work fastest.
