No. The entire DermClick experience — the assessment, the dermatologist review, the prescription, the refills, the follow-ups — happens online. No waiting room, no driving across town, no fifteen-minute appointment slot.
There are a few situations where a board-certified dermatologist may recommend an in-person visit instead of writing a prescription. If your photos suggest a suspicious mole, a possible skin cancer, an unhealing wound, or a condition that needs in-clinic biopsy or in-office procedural care (like cortisone injections for cystic acne or vascular laser for severe rosacea), your DermClick dermatologist will tell you directly and refer you to a local clinic. We will not write a prescription that papers over something that needs a hands-on exam.
For the conditions DermClick is built to treat — acne, anti-aging, rosacea, melasma, post-inflammatory erythema, and unwanted facial hair — an asynchronous photo review by a board-certified dermatologist is the standard of care.
