Yes. Two of the three founders have clinical training and practice patterns specifically in skin of color.
- Dr. Mamina Turegano completed a dermatopathology fellowship at UCLA and is triple board-certified in dermatology, internal medicine, and dermatopathology. Her clinical practice and public-facing content include a focused body of work on melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and other pigment-related conditions in Fitzpatrick III through VI skin tones.
- Dr. Jenny Liu is an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota Medical School with a clinical and academic focus on skin of color, eczema in textured skin, and complex hair loss in textured hair.
If your concern involves pigmentation, post-inflammatory marks (whether brown PIH or red P.I.E.), or a condition that has been historically under-treated in your skin tone, you can note in your assessment that you'd like Dr. Mamina or Dr. Jenny on your case where scheduling permits.
